FULL INSTRUCTIONS : LEMON CHICKEN WITH VEGGIES
In order to drive on public roads of India, it is mandatory to buy car insurance and fulfil your legal obligation. You should purchase a comprehensive insurance policy in order to safeguard yourself from the financial risks related to road accidents.
At the time of buying car insurance policy, you need to submit the required documents such as vehicle registration copy, identity proof and address proof etc. If you do not have a valid Driving License and you will drive the vehicle, then you must obtain it without any delay.
Importance of Driving License
Driving License is a document that makes you eligible to drive on the Indian roads. If you drive on Indian roads without a Driving License, you could be penalized. When a car is driven by a licensed driver, it ensures that the driver is capable of exercising complete control of the vehicle and the driver will follow the road signs and traffic rules and regulations.
If the vehicle is driven by an unlicensed driver, there will be a risk to the driver, the car and third party. Though it is not guaranteed that there won't be any road accident when the vehicle is driven by a licensed driver, it reduces the risk to a certain extent. Additionally, it makes the claim request valid.
Invalid Insurance Claim
If you have a comprehensive insurance plan and your vehicle is involved in an accident, you will have to file the car insurance claim with the insurance company.
The following documents should be submitted to the insurance company:
Copy of insurance policy
Copy of the car registration certificate
Copy of FIR
Copy of Driving License (of the person who was driving at the time of the accident)
Duly filled claim form
Original estimation of repairs
The insurance company will follow the guidelines of the IRDA (Insurance Regulatory Authority of India). As per the guidelines, it is mandatory for the car driver to have a valid Driving License. Hence, if the person who was driving the car at the time of the accident didn’t have the licence, the claim will be rejected by the insurance company.
Note -You should be fully aware of the terms and conditions of the insurance policy. If you are the owner of the vehicle, you should possess a valid driving license when you drive the car. If your car is driven by your family member, he/she should possess a valid driving license when they drive the car.
